RATES AND MEDICAL AID

My practice is registered with all major medical aids and claims are processed electronically at 100% of medical aid rates where applicable. Clients remain liable for claims and amounts not covered by medical aid. Medical aid benefits for psychological services vary from scheme to scheme with some plans covering from member savings and others from separate auxiliary or supplementary benefits. I am able to assist in determining whether your medical aid plan has specific benefits for psychology before going ahead with appointments. A limited range of psychological conditions including some mood and anxiety disorders are covered under Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) which means that additional cover may be available following a diagnosis in one of these categories. PMBs also apply on hospital plans and other plans with no specific psychology benefits. Please feel free to enquire about this when contacting me.

 

Private clients pay a discounted rate and are requested to pay upfront before each session, preferably by EFT. I do not have traditional credit card facilities at my practice but Debit and Credit card payments can be made securely before sessions using Zapper. If you want to use this payment option, please download and setup the Zapper App on your smartphone before your session.


TERMS OF SERVICE

Clients are required to sign a basic Terms of Service agreement before commencing any service. This covers basic terms of service including confidentiality and financial arrangements including rates. Clients also agree to provding at least 12 hours notice for cancellation of appointments or they may be liable for a cancellation fee.
